A charming, small swedish home in white and pastels. Hello there! Although we all may still be feeling the cold snap of winter (brrrr!), the days are getting longer and I’m starting to feel spring is around the corner (optimist, me?!). That’s why I thought I’d share this lovely Swedish home decorated in white with pops of pretty pastel and floral detail throughout. It belongs to Stockholm- based photographer, stylist and journalist Emmy Lundström (who blogs here). Watch out for the clever space- saving ideas too (loving the window / wall divider). Enjoy! I do love this space. It’s fresh and cute all at the same time with some really lovely feminine touches. Is this your kind of style? The openings of the house are equipped with slatted windows to emphasize the relationship of the building with the surrounding nature. San George Bistro in Amsterdam by Framework. A refined celebration of Fifties Italian glamour, the interior of San George features a crisp black, white and moss green palette, paired with bold graphic patterns and brass detailing. Large palm plants, vintage French barstools and lamps, and photography by Slim Aarons complete the sophisticated look. The space is framed with a rhythmic chevron floor crafted with black and white marble, raw stone columns partly clad with glazed black metro tiles, and a bold ceiling featuring white square impressions. A perfectly European brassiere that so leisurely oozes the sophistication of ‘la dolce vita’. The post San George Bistro in Amsterdam by Framework. Yellowtrace. Once again, we’re off to Paris, the city where imagination runs wild and beautiful residential spaces are plentiful, and today’s home is no exception. This beautifully restored 1. Mil. K Editor- In- Chief, Isis Colombe Combréas, her photographer partner, Karel Balas, and their two children. Completed in just three months, the restoration of this Paris apartment was managed by the inimitable Turin- based Marcante- Testa (Ud. A). While Marcante- Testa (Ud. A) made some minor alterations to the walls of this apartment in Paris, the major design element used for the required zoning of public and private space was a matte black perforated metal rack system, inspired by French designer Mathiew Matégot. The system is moveable, with rotating arms that move through each space of the home. While functional in purpose, the metal structure in this apartment has the effect of a contemporary art installation, and gives the home a quirky decorative sensibility, which is carried through in the furniture selections. The tight selection of finishes cap off this beauty of a home, including an unusual palette of muted peach walls, petrol blue resin flooring, olive green joinery, ash timber clad walls and crisp white fittings and fixtures. Anzi.
